Albany- Under Secretary of Defense for Logistics and Materiel Readiness Diane Morales visited the base Friday to inspect its progress. All bases are going through a major transformation to get weapons and equipment to soldiers quicker.

"What I've found, they have taken all the commercial best business practices, and they've capitalized on them, and added some of their own innovations, and they should be proud," says Morales.

Morales also says with the threat of war with Iraq so close the bases have had to go through the process much quicker.
