ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Albany Native Shaun Keaton's incredible career at Georgia College & State University isn't finished just yet.
The former Westover Patriot was chosen to the NCAA Division II Basketball All-Star Team.
Two teams are chosen made up of the top 20 players that aren't playing in the Division II Elite Eight.
Keaton had a stellar senior season, scoring 20-plus points in his last seven games. He finishes his career as the top three-point shooter in school history, and sixth on the all time scoring list.
"I'm really excited, it's an honor, it's a blessing. Just really excited not but 20 players in the entire country got selected so I feel really blessed for the main part and just really excited. I want to go up there and do my best" said Keaton.
Keaton says after graduation this spring he is hoping to pursue a professional basketball career overseas.
The all-star contest will be played Friday at 7:00 at the NCAA Tournament in Springfield, Mass.
