LAKE PARK, GA (WALB) - A scary situation for officers in Lowndes County Sunday morning after a man barricades himself in his home. The stand-off began just before 10:00 AM in Lake Park.

Deputies were called to 5330 Golf Course Drive where a man held his wife hostage at gun point. The SWAT Team and negotiators were on the scene and were able to get the woman freed.

An hour and half later, the man was talked out of the home. He was apprehended by officers and taken to a hospital. The case is still under investigation.
