So much that fans are wanting future schedules so they can make early plans to attend the games.
Albany State announced their football schedules for not only this year but also in 2010 on Friday.
The Rams will open the 2009 season at Shaw University on August 28th.
The home opener is the following week against Kentucky State.
The big news is homecoming dates are out.
Homecoming this year is September 26th against Benedict.
In 2010, it will be on October 9th against Miles.
These two dates are earlier than usual for homecoming
Athletic director Dr. Joshua Murfree believes having homecoming earlier in the season will make the biggest event on campus even larger.
Dr. Murfree said. "We looked it at this year and decided to make homecoming an event. That is why we decided to change that date and make it earlier."
Albany State will open the 2010 season at Kentucky State.
The Rams have nine games scheduled for 2010 and are looking for a non-conference game.
Dr. Murfree says mentions South Carolina State and Savannah State as possible candidates for that tenth game.
