November 7, 2002

Albany- The Junior League of Albany unveils a unique outdoor art display that will raise money for a new outdoor park in downtown Albany. Thursday, the organization unveiled a six-foot fiberglass turtle.

Business and groups will buy the Turtles for three thousand dollars, and smaller versions of the turtle are available for fifteen hundred.

They'll be painted and displayed all over town. Proceeds will help pay to build Turtle Grove play park in downtown Albany.

Sponsors who have already committed to this project include WALB, Harvest Moon, Albany Tomorrow and Miller Brewing Company.
