SUMNER, GA (WALB) - A Worth County woman is charged with murdering her boyfriend. Lisa Marie Wade is accused of killing 52-year-old Joseph Sumner III. Sumner was found stabbed to death in his home on November 3rd.
Wade was arrested later that day for drug charges in Berrien County after a lookout was issued for Sumner's truck. Investigators still don't have a motive in this case, but say Sumner and Wade had a history of domestic violence.
"We are still looking at the evidence. It appears at this time that there was an altercation between Wade and Sumner that escalated into violence," said Assistant Special Agent In Charge, Mark Pro.
Wade is charged with murder and giving false statements. Her friend, Kenneth Timothy Foster, Jr is charged with tampering with evidence and giving false statements.
