Littlefield's .600 batting average for the week helps place VSU atop the entire Gulf South in team batting average. She drove in 10 runs in two games against Thomas and two against conference opponent North Alabama.
Three of her nine hits were for extra bases, including a three-run homer in a win over UNA. She scored four runs and led the Lady Blazers to a 4-0 week and a strong 2-0 start in the Gulf South. Littlefield terrorized the Lions with a four for five day at the plate and five RBIs in game one of the doubleheader.
Littlefield, Braswell and Shirey will look to lead VSU past Augusta State Wednesday.
