SHELLMAN, GA (WALB) - It didn't take long for Randolph Southern to find a new head football coach and the Patriots didn't have to go far to find their guy.
Former Randolph-Southern assistant Ottis Griggs has been named head coach at Randolph-Southern.
Griggs was an assistant for the Patriots in 2005 and 2006.
A former professional baseball player, Griggs has head coaching experience at Randolph-Clay and Harris County.
Griggs will succeed Tim Goodin who took the head coaching job at Southland Academy last week.
