Lee County-- Some top notch horse riders from Southwest Georgia are competing in the Special Olympics this weekend.

Six people from Lee, Dougherty and Worth Counties are participating in the Equestrian Special Olympics in Alpharetta. One team member, Michael Oglesby, spent the afternoon practicing for the big event at the Southwest Georgia Therapeutic Riding Center.

Volunteer Tara Okon says, "He knows how to lead horses, brush them, its been wonderful having him. He even helps us with the other students and he rides really well."

Michael is competing in three events. The six riders, along with their horses, are traveling to Willis Park in Alpharetta.
