Murtha Wilder Adams


Murtha Wilder Adams, 96, of Albany, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Albany Health Care.

The graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday at Oakview Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Jones officiating.

Mrs. Adams was born in Albany to William Murtha Wilder and Eva Ware Wilder.  She was a graduate of Brenau College in Gainesville, a member of First United Methodist Church in Albany, and a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by a son, John M. Adams and a sister, Evalyn Wilder.

Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter, Eve Adams of East Lansing, MI; a son, David W. Adams and his wife Lynn of New Orleans, LA; a daughter-in-law, Denise Adams of Stony Point, NY; four grandchildren: Ware Adams and his wife Ellen, Lynn Lelong and her husband Bruce, Heather Troyer and her husband Jens Kulstad, and Jonathan Adams; and five great-grandchildren. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation to a longtime friend, Marguerite Dodgen for her kindness and friendship in all that she did for Mrs. Adams.
