Terrell County- His legal troubles not withstanding, Dawson Mayor Robert Albritten steamrolled two opponents, to easily retain the keys to City Hall.

Albritten received 741 votes, Paul Rakel received 473 votes, and Kenneth Claybaugh received 33 votes.

As usual, Albritten wouldn't talk to us, but he did hand our reporter a typed message that read "Thank you, I have no comment." Albritten's opponents are disappointed.

Albritten will likely stand trial later this year for insurance fraud and forgery charges. He's also charged with a DUI wreck. If he's convicted, a special election will have to be held to elect a new mayor in Dawson.
