Delta State ends another Lady Blazer season

CLEVELAND, MS (WALB) - Six days after losing in overtime to Delta State at the Gulf South Conference tournament,  the Lady Statesmen beat the Valdosta State Lady Blazers 58-48 in the opening round of the NCAA DII south regionals at Delta State.

The score was close most of the game but Delta State was able to build a nine point lead in the final minutes.

Veronica Walker led DSU with 24 points.

Michelle Thompson led the Lady Blazers with 15 points.

The Valdosta State women finish the season 21-9.
