Moultrie-- United States Senate Candidate Saxby Chambliss says he is pleased how many of his hometown neighbors in Moultrie came to the polls to vote Tuesday.

At the Moultrie precinct, voters came in a steady drove throughout the morning. Poll workers say the overcast weather did not seem to be keeping people indoors and away from the polls.

Also, poll workers say voters had very little problems with the new touch screen voting machines. “They love it!” said Poll Manager Ronald Horn. “When they walk out of the back door they say that was a piece of cake, I love it!”

At the Moultrie precinct, poll workers did not report any mechanical errors with the electronic voting machines.
