    South Georgia is full of dirt roads and in Baker County officials are concerned with the amounts of expected rainfall.  "Anytime we have a rain event, we are definitely concerned about people in the county being able to travel the dirt roads," said Sherry Bailey, Baker Co. Manager and EMA Director.

    Governor Nathan Deal signed House Bill 684 that provides $17.7 million for a new fine arts building and rehabilitation of the Carlton Library at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College. ABAC representatives said they are excited to see their campus evolving. Some parts of the library simply aren't used, and they say there is plenty of space for the fine arts building.

    The Albany Lions club is helping raise money to fund leader dogs for people who are blind. Organizers of the fundraiser today say it takes a lot of money to train the dogs.  They set up a table at Petsmart in Albany to collect money and lightly used eyeglasses.

    South Georgia is full of dirt roads and in Baker County officials are concerned with the amounts of expected rainfall.  "Anytime we have a rain event, we are definitely concerned about people in the county being able to travel the dirt roads," said Sherry Bailey, Baker Co. Manager and EMA Director.

    County leaders Early County are keeping an eye on the flood watch...preparing for the worst.  The county's EMA Director has been watching the weather closely since Thursday in preparation for the storm.
