Ft. Gaines, GA (WALB) -  The storm that roared through Alabama left damage behind in Fort Gaines.

High winds knocked a tree onto part of a building at the Chattahoochee Peanut Company in the 500 block of North Hancock Road. The tree all but flattened the cab of a Chevrolet Silverado around one this afternoon.

Workers say they got quite a scare when the winds picked up, but luckily no one was hurt.

"Of course the sky got really dark and the wind picked up in different directions the lights went out and next thing you know this tree fell on a truck at the side of our building," said Chattahoochee Peanut Company Mgr. Dan Gay.

They had to cut the tree to get that vehicle out. There were several trees down in the Fort Gaines area.
