Dooly County, GA - (WALB)   A body found in Dooly County is believed to be a murdered Ohio woman. The remains were found around 10:30 Wednesday morning near a field off Highway 27 north of Vienna.

The body is believed to be 85-year old Gladis Russell, whose disappearance sparked a search along I-75 in South Georgia two weeks ago.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials said the farmer was working on a well and located the body near a dirt road about two miles off Interstate 75. The GBI says clothing on the body indicates is that of a female.

The GBI says it is reviewing missing person cases in the area, and has been in contact with Ohio authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding the case of the Ohio couple.

The body of her husband, 84-year old Dick Russell was found in Chattanooga, Tennessee last week.

The man who admits killing the couple, Sammy Littleton, remains in jail.
