Lanier Co. man wanted for attacking wife

LANIER COUNTY, GA (WALB) -  Investigators in Lanier County are searching for a man they say stabbed his wife 21 times.

They say 29-year old Julio Lopez attacked Linda Lopez with knives and a tire tool inside their camper off River Road early Wednesday morning in Lanier County.

She was able to escape and get help. She was taken to South Georgia Medical Center and is expected to recover.

Lopez left the area in a Chevy Blazer that was found Wednesday night near Cross Creek Road in Berrien County.

He just got out of jail Tuesday in Berrien county.

Lopez is hispanic, 5'2" and 150 pounds.
