ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Smash and grab thieves apparently had the munchies Wednesday morning. They cost an Albany business hundreds of dollars in damage, all for a few packs of gum, chips, and soda!
Police are still investigating the early morning burglary at the 1906 East Oglethorpe Blvd. Dollar General. Police say around 3:45 a.m. three thieves smashed through the front glass door with a rock and two of them went inside and stole food and drinks.
Employees spent most of their morning cleaning up the shattered glass. Workers tell WALB News 10 there is surveillance video but no arrests have been made. If you have any information call Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
