LEESBURG, GA (WALB) – A Lee County woman's vision of a special needs playground will soon become a reality.

3 months ago, Traci Henry won $50,000 dollars from the Pepsi Refresh Project to build Butterfly Kisses play park.

She's donating the park to Lee County. Commissioners approved construction of the park at Tuesday night's meeting.

The playground designed specifically for special needs kids will be located near the Parks and Recreation Soccer fields on Starskville Road.

Henry, who son, Chance, suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy, says she excited about seeing her project in the works.

The playground is scheduled to open early next month.
