Thomasville Police are looking for two men who attempted to rob a store, scaring customers and clerks.
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Did you know you can have your taxes prepared and filed for free? SOWEGA council on aging offers the service to anyone, though the target age group is senior adults.
Volunteers like Larry Sellers do the work for you and file your taxes for free. Every Monday and Tuesday through tax day, they'll help people figure out all the paperwork.
Sellers said, "Help them do whatever they need to do. If they don't need to do anything we'll help them do that too because some people don't really know whether they need to file or not, but if they'll come down, we will go through their return with them and show them and tell them what they need to look for."
Each day, volunteers serve 30 people. The schedule tends to loosen up near April 15th. If you would like your taxes prepared by the volunteers at the Council on Aging, call them at 432-1131.
