PELHAM (WALB) - Two people died Saturday night in separate crashes on South Georgia roads. Around 10 p.m. two people were ejected from a Mitsubishi Montero on Dylan Road in Thomas County. State Troopers say Nathan Smith lost control of his S-U-V and ran off the road. He's hospitalized with injuries, his wife, Christina Smith , was killed.
Two hours later near Pelham, a wrong way driver traveling north in the southbound lane of U.S. 19 struck a tractor trailer then crashed head on into another car. The driver of the wrong way Honda Accord was killed instantly. Two people in a Honda Civic were taken to the hospital.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating both wrecks. We'll have more on WALB News Ten at 6.
