ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  For the first year SB&T is sponsoring the annual bike race.

As many as 300 bikers zipped their way through downtown Albany streets Saturday morning. SB&T Bike Race events award a combined total of $8,500 in prize money.

"We're very proud to be a part of the community and of course sponsor the race, we do have a lot of volunteers and we're proud to be a sponsor," Amy Fix, SB&T Human Resource Manager.

Bikers in Saturday's race earned points for the new Georgia Championship Series Race.
