ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The City of Albany is now accepting applications from non-profits for community development block grants, but there could be less money available this year because of federal budget cuts.
Right now tax exempt organizations can apply with the city for up to $20,000 it's a competitive grant and this year there could be a lot more competition.
"The successful applicant should be prepared to spend money and then be reimbursed," Said Thelma Watson, Community Services Manager.
Organizations must submit an application by March 28th at noon. You can visit Albany Community and Economic development, or click here to visit the City of Albany's Web site.
