ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's City Manager has cleared out his office.

Wednesday was Al Lott's last day on the job.  He worked as city manager for more than five years.

Wednesday, he finished packing up his things and said goodbye to co-workers.  He says he's glad to know he made an impact.

Lott said, "It's nice to know that when you walk out everybody won't forget about you.  It's a good day, a good day of reflection and also I'm looking forward to what I'm going to be doing in two weeks, too."

Assistant City Manager James Taylor will take the helm Thursday as interim manager while a permanent selection is made.
