ALBANY, GA (WALB) - 13-days after a car crashed through the front window of a popular Albany lunch spot, the restaurant is back open.

Terry Lee's Old World Sandwich Shoppe on West Broad Avenue re-opened Tuesday.

February 16th, 57 year old Charles Hollis crashed through the front window.

More than a dozen people were inside, but no one was hurt. Lee had to replace the floor and some of the counter.

He says his loyal customers have been checking on him daily. Terry Lee's Old World Sandwich Shoppe owner Terry Lee said  "It does. 34 years and they just keep coming on in. It's great when you get them back like that, after being closed a week."

Tuesday was the official re-opening, but Lee says after the health inspector gave him the OK Monday, so many of his regular customers showed up he went ahead and served anyone who walked in.
