Tifton -- Cotton farmers will hear about the latest trends at the first Georgia Cotton Conference Wednesday .
Farmers and others in the cotton industry registered Tuesday at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center.
Those who attend the conference will learn about the latest national and global farming trends and learn where Georgia cotton ranks in the mix.
"Georgia is the number one row crop. We may not get all the publicity, but we are grown in 19 counties in the state. And we do generate more revenue than any other row crop planted in the state," said Georgia Commission Executive Director, Richey Seaton.
Guest speaker Congressman Jack Kingston will speak to the group during lunch Wednesday.
This meeting will combine the Georgia Cotton Commission annual meeting with the Georgia Quality Cotton Awards.
