Albany- Turner Job Corps has a new vision to meet the job demands of the 21st Century.
Guests who took part in Monday's Government and Partnership day got to see the center's 830 students in action with a bus tour around campus.
Many students who might fail at a traditional high school are getting their diplomas and GED's. Those students are making a positive impact on Albany as well.
"The sleigh that Santa rode in in the parade our welding class actually built that for them. All the starts they actually see around the city our welding class actually did those. The lockers at the civic center our carpentry class actually did those," said Courtenay Thomas, T.J.C. Director of Outreach.
This year students completed nearly 3,000 hours of community service. Monday they reminded guests, Turner Job Corps Center is always looking for mentors and community business partners.
