Homerville - People in Clinch County say they're ready for the investigation of the Alapaha Judicial Circuit to be over.
Sissy Suggs, resigned as deputy sheriff Monday.
Acting Clerk of Court Melinda Davis will also resign by October 31st.
Davis took over as Clerk of Court last month after former clerk Danny Lecesse pled guilty to a federal mail fraud charges.
An audit said they were three of five county employees who collected money from a secret account created by Alapaha Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Brooks Blitch.
Over 73 thousand dollars has been collected since 1992, funded by the illegal collection of fees from misdemeanor defendants.
They all must make restitution payments for the amount of money they collected.
No one we spoke with in Homerville agreed to go on camera but most people said they hope the investigation will end soon so the county can get back to normal.
