Driver killed in tanker accident

February 13, 2007

Leary, Ga. --  A driver for Hatcher Petroleum Transport of Albany apparently lost control of his tanker rig this morning about 1:30, near the intersection of Highway 55 and Bray Street.

The tanker rolled over and caught fire, and the driver, whose name was not released, was killed. No other vehicles were involved.

The HAZ-MAT team from Dothan, Alabama was called in to contain the gasoline leakage.

The Georgia State Patrol is handling the accident, and we will more information later.
