"The Apprentice" visits Albany

February 16, 2006

Albany-- He impressed millions of television viewers and even Mr. Trump himself. Thursday night, Donald Trump's newest apprentice gave advice to Albany students.

Dr. Randal Pinkett won the big job on the last season of "The Apprentice". Pinkett spoke to a full audience at Darton College about the rewards of education. He says many young people think they don't need a college degree but he says that's not true.

"Nowadays a college degree is like what a high school diploma used to be. It was a prerequisite just to enter the workforce and nowadays to be competitive in a global marketplace, a college degree is absolutely necessary," says Pinkett.

Pinkett starts his year-long job with the Trump Corporation on Monday. He also has a new book coming out and serves as the national spokesperson for Autism Speaks.
