Thomasville- Authorities say Brookwood School's boys basketball coach Brad Piazza refused to stop at a road block set up because of a downed tree on Metcalf Road last weekend.

His Suburban hit the hand of a deputy trying to wave him down. Deputies say Piazza then led them on a high speed chase. He's charged with aggravated assault, DUI, attempting to elude, and failure to obey a traffic control officer. His wife, Daniella Piazza is charged with obstruction of an officer for claiming she was the one driving. She is a seventh-grade teacher at Central Middle School.

The Piazzas are both out of jail on bond.
