COLQUITT COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Two teenage girls are killed in a single car crash in Colquitt County.

Georgia State Patrol officials say it happened around 1:30pm Saturday near 2408 Old Berlin Road in Berlin.

Authorities say 16 year-old Mary Holt Statom was driving a Hyundai Genesis east on Old Berlin Road, went around a turn, lost control and struck a tree.

Both Statom and her passenger, 16 year-old Madison Storm Sumner were killed on impact. They were both from Moultrie.
