Darton baseball holds kids clinic

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  The Darton College baseball team took a break from its schedule Tuesday evening to give back to the community.

The Cavs held a free baseball clinic for the players from the National Little League at the 8th Avenue ball park.

Darton coaches and players instructed kids on the basics of the game as well as the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Over 70 little league players to part in the event.

 

Darton coach Glenn Eames said. "It means everything for these kids to come out here and be around their idols. Nice park and everything, they think their Kings for a little while."

Sederick Adams said. "It my first time out here, Im surprised and happy and I'm on tv.

Tavis Stokes said. "I'm just getting better and I'm learning alot of new stuff. Learning how to pitch, catch to get ready for the major league."

Darton is back in action next Tuesday against East Georgia College.
