Heritage Bank of the south is helping students in its service area afford college.
The Albany-based bank also serves people around Valdosta, Statesboro and east Georgia.
Heritage will hand out five 500-dollar scholarships as well as one to a dependant of a Heritage employee.
Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average and show they're concerned with bettering their community.
"I'm looking for someone who has done some outstanding work in the communities they serve, said Mary Beth Hobby, Marketing Director at Heritage Bank.
You can apply online or at a heritage bank branch.
All applications are due by the close of business on Friday May 13th.
