The director of a daycare center has been arrested in connection with the death of 19-month-old Janaysia Stevenson.

Glenda Ann Brown is the director Of Spring Little Citizens Learning Academy located at 1321 Radium Springs Road in Albany.

Investigators say Brown knew the child was being abused and did not report it. Stevenson died March 28th at Phoebe Putney Hospital.

Prosecutors say she had been beaten for weeks by her mother's boyfriend, 28-year-old Gregory Evans, before succumbing to internal injuries.

Evans and the mother, 20-year-old Chaitia Stevenson, are in the Dougherty County Jail charged with murder.
