The Albany Panthers pounced on the Alabama Hammers early and finished off its opponent 47-26 at the Civic Center on Saturday night. Cecil Lester hooked up with a crossing Antwontis Cutts early in the 1st quarter to give Albany the 8-0 lead, after a Wes Virgilio "uno" to start off the game.
The Hammers responded with a 1 yard rush to cut into the lead but in the 2nd quarter Derrick Wimbush found pay dirt with a 1 yard rush of his own to extend the lead. The Panthers are now 5-0 and will head to Fayetteville to play the Force next week.
