Hundred of volunteers are set to brave the elements to raise money in the fight against cancer. There are more than 50 teams registered for this year's Dougherty-Lee relay for life.

The event takes place on the walking track at Darton College and will run though 6:00 AM Saturday.

Teams were setting up and decorating their tents Friday with this year's theme in mind, 'Relay through the Decades.'

At the Ezee Copy tent the disco ball was up and they weren't letting windy conditions get to them.

"There are so many people every year that fight this disease. Our group has, especially two people this year, my mom battled breast cancer and is a 21 year survivor and this year my father in law has brain cancer that he's currently fighting so it's a personal thing for us," said Jamie Bolton of Team Ezee Copy.

The team's theme is Stayin'' alive and so far the group has raised five-thousand dollars. They and other groups hope the community will come out and support them tonight.
