Another delay slows the deal between the Hospital Authority of Albany and Dougherty County and HCA Palmyra Medical Center.  The contract won't be signed Thursday as promised.

Last week Phoebe announced they would complete the deal tomorrow. Today they told us that date has been adjusted again.

Phoebe and HCA cite, "numerous matter of due diligence and review and analysis as well as regulatory and compliance matters," as the reason for the delay.

Now they're not saying when they anticipate a closing date.

Employees for both hospitals were recently sent an e-mail informing them of the delay.
