Brown signs with St. Petersburg

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Monroe guard Carlos Brown is headed to St. Petersburg to continue his college career.

Brown signed with St. Petersburg Community College this morning in the Monroe High media center.

Carlos was a second team all-region player and averaged 13 points a game for the region champion Tornadoes.

He believes St. Petersburg will be a great place to improve his game with the goal of earning a division one scholarship in two years.

Carlos Brown said. "I have got to work real hard. There is a lot of competition there. I have got a chance to meet some of the players that are leaving and returning. The coach says he is going to work me hard. I am looking forward to it."
