BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) – A fifth person has died following a crash in Bainbridge, and a victim authorities initially told us was killed is alive.

A car spun out of control on Highway 27 late Wednesday and slammed into a car parked on the shoulder. Seven people were packed into that parked car after another car had a flat tire.

Phillip Mosely remained hospitalized Friday night. We previously were told he was killed. Jessica Alexander was actually the fourth initial fatality. Jocelyn Alexander died from her injuries Friday.

The two drivers, Greg Mosely and Ashley Moten, were killed in the crash along with Kedric Footman.  Anastasia Footman, Teddy Jones, and Rachael Harrell are recovering from their injuries.
