Posted: Updated:

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  With golf's best players all wanting to win the Masters this weekend, next week a future Masters champion maybe playing in Albany.

The NGA Hooters Tour returns to the Stonebridge Country Club for the Michelob Ultra Classic.

One player ready for the tournament is Albany's Brandon Anthony.

Brandon almost qualified for a Hooters tournament in Albany when he was a senior at Deerfield-Windsor in 2003.

After playing at Darton and Troy University, Brandon went to work in the golf business.

Just over two years ago, Brandon decided to give pro golf a try.

It was a struggle early but Anthony has recorded three wins last summer on the Peach State mini-tour.

Brandon Anthony said.  "Everybody said keep going. The first year is going to be rough and it usually is. Stuck with it. Next year out I won a couple of tournaments. I had a better year and won a lot more money and I am trying to go from there."

The NGA Hooters Tour Michelob Ultra Classic starts next Thursday at Stonebridge.
