All that police gear stolen when an Albany Police officer's apartment was broken into has been recovered.

Burglars broke into the Winding Way Street apartment of Detective Darryl Jones Sunday night.

The thieves took his gun, police radio, handcuffs and bulletproof vest, then drove off in his unmarked police car.

The car was later found in some woods on Cedric Drive.

Police have now recovered the other stolen items near Endoline Drive.

The only items they haven't recovered are the officer's badge and handcuffs.

No one's been arrested.
