Westfield comeback beats Deerfield-Windsor

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Deerfield-Windsor jumped out to an early lead but Westfield rallies for 5-4 win in 8 innings on Thursday at Knights Field.

The win gives Westfield sole possession of first place in GISA 3-AAA.

Deerfield-Windsor scored two runs in the first.

Hunter Brettel's ground out to third scored Michael Laslie.

Harris Webb singled home Michael Moree.

The Knights added another run in the third.

Davis Moore intentionally got into a rundown between first and second allowing Rhett Cooper to score from third before Moore was tagged out.

Deerfield-Windsor start Chris Moates pitched out of bases loaded trouble twice in the first two innings and got out of trouble in the fourth with a double play.

Deerfield-Windsor is back in action Tuesday at Calvary Christian in Columbus.
