VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Firefighters are battling a huge house fire in Valdosta.

Bemiss Road has been blocked off because of the blaze at 3320 Bemiss.

A woman passed by and saw flames in the garage. She stopped, picked up a limb from the yard, beat on a window, warning the folks inside. They heard her calls and escaped the fire safely.

A woman, and two young children. Only moments later, the house became an inferno.

Quinn Construction at 3316 Bemiss Road, is taking contributions to help the family. You can call them at 257-0431.

Valdosta Bureau Chief Jade Bulecza is on the scene, and we'll keep you updated.
