TIFTON, GA (WALB) –A van for sale in Tift County was taken off the market not because someone bought it but because a huge pine tree crushed it.

A huge tree totaled this van when it crashed on top of it during Tuesday morning's storm. It happened around 3am on Prince Avenue near the intersection of 20th street.

The owner of the vehicle says she and her husband were up already because of the bad weather when all of a sudden they heard a crash.

It was dark outside so they had no way of telling what happened until a little later.

"We see fireworks outside shooting from the van then all of a sudden we turn around and the sockets in the house started popping," said Helen Harbuck, van owner.

When the tree fell, it also pulled down some power lines. The owner says they finally got electricity back this morning, and she says a company was on the way to remove the tree and clean up the street.
