ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Darton College has seen many of its alumni go on to great careers

Now the University System of Georgia has recognized one of those alumni - inducting him into it's Hall of Fame.

Anthony Parr is a 1975 graduate of Darton college who went on to a career in the Navy, until retiring in 1996.

More recently he has returned to the college to teach mathematics and serve as a consultant where he has had a chance to build contacts overseas.

With the world becoming increasingly linked together, he says the future lies in global partnerships and that Darton College has to lead the way in developing those partnerships.

"That's what this is all about - is about the future a global influence. We forget that everything is global our economics are global," said Parr.

Parr is the first graduate of Darton College to be named to the Regents Hall of Fame.
