While the new guys look for a fresh start the current Albany State seniors are still trying to pursue their dreams of playing pro ball. Former ASU corner back Prathon Wilkerson is currently in Atlanta performing in the regional Elite Combine geared at giving athletes from smaller schools a shot to be seen by NFL scouts.
Former Rams safety Mario Fuller is also at the combine, both have been working out for weeks in preparation for what they call one of the biggest days of their lives.
Wilkerson said "Coming from a HBCU we don't have any exposure so things like that are great more me. My ultimate goal is just to get on somebody's roster. Once I get there I have some other goals in mind. My first goal right now is to make a team roster."
Fuller said "We're going to try to put Albany State on the map regardless. Giving us a chance by going to this regional combine instead of the one in Indianapolis. We are still going to give our school a chance and continue to just make things work."
