It was a first time in a long time that the Albany State offense put a good ole beat down on the defense in the Rams' Spring game. 37-19 was the final. Much of the credit was given to the Rams acting offensive coordinator Uyl Joyner. Joyner, the quarterbacks coach has been stepping in since the departure of Steve Smith.
The SIAC's number one offense hasn't missed a beat though and Joyner hoped the spring game was a sign that he's more than capable of running the offense.
Joyner said "It's real important just to let coach White know I can handle what's going on. Just to get the guys going. It's really like an audition for me I guess and hopefully I passed the audition."
Head coach Mike White said "He's already proven that he can be a good offensive coordinator. He's going to be a good one one day, I'm not sure if this is his time or not but he's an excellent coach."
White says he will continue to look in the offensive coordinator position in the coming weeks
