A group from Maule Air in Moultrie left Friday for Lakeland, Florida to trailer back their plane which was damaged in a severe storm that swept through the Sun-N-Fun Air Show.
Event organizers say as many as 50 planes were damaged, including Maule's new aircraft, the M-X-7 180-B.
Three members of the team were able to ride out the storm in a hanger and are okay, but the plane, just finished last Saturday, had damage to the left wing and tail section of the aircraft.
Many planes were flipped during the storm. Maule officials say the plane was to be picked up by the owner Monday, now they'll bring it back for repairs.
More than a dozen people were hurt during the tornado, none seriously.
