The Albany Humane Society is getting a makeover thanks to some help from a national humanitarian group and national dog food company.
Two Marines who survived IED blasts got a look at the equipment that saved their lives. It's installed at the maintenance center at Albany's Marine Corps Logistic Base.
Lance Corporal William Chapman, Corporal Christopher A. Gisbrecht and two other Marines from Camp Lejune, North Carolina were honored today as part of Warrior Day at the base.
They toured the facility and got a chance to meet the workers who make the life saving armor.
While serving in Iraq, Lance Corporal William Chapman and Corporal Christopher A. Gisbrecht survived IED blasts.
Today they thanked the people that helped save their lives.
